Research Overview

The College of Dentistry is dedicated to fostering the involvement of DMD program students in oral health research and promoting dental research as an integral part of their career path. We are also committed to facilitating the research process within the DMD program.

The college’s research section consists of two committees:

  • Research Committee: This committee oversees and coordinates research activities, projects, and initiatives within the COD-KSAU-HS, ensuring adherence to research objectives and ethical standards while facilitating collaboration among researchers.
  • Research Ethics Sub-committee: Ensures the ethical conduct of research activities, protects the rights and well-being of participants, and upholds the highest standards of integrity in scientific inquiry

Additionally, we house a Research unit comprising four key subsections: Research Services, Research Promotion and Development, and Research Strategic Planning and Research Monitoring Unit.

We also have the Dental Research Club (DRC) overseen by the Research Unit. DRC engages dental students in research-related activities, promotes scientific inquiry, and provides a platform for collaboration and learning in the field of dentistry.
