In a celebration of dental excellence, the College of Dentistry at KSAUHS, Riyadh campus, recently concluded the seventh edition of Career and Research Day (CARD 2024) under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Bandar bin Abdul Mohsen Alknawy. The event brought together university vice presidents, deans, and faculty members from various colleges to support and inspire the next generation of dental professionals.
CARD 2024 also provided a platform for discussing professional opportunities post-graduation, focused on enhancing the skills of internship doctors and preparing them for the competitive job market. Seventy scientific abstracts were submitted from dental colleges across the Kingdom, with 44 selected for participation in the scientific competitions.
Dr. Alknawy honored faculty members who have made significant contributions to high-impact journals. He also recognized distinguished doctors and students who excelled in the research competitions.
The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the College of Dentistry Museum, curated by Dr. Ali Al-Ehaidib, the college dean, showcasing a collection of historical medical technologies dating back to ancient times. From antique dental chairs to ancient medical tools dating back to 1830, the museum offered a glimpse into the evolution of dentistry over centuries. It was truly a memorable day as innovation and excellence in dental education at KSAUHS were celebrated through a blend of past and present achievements.
