PATIENT CARE

The College of Dentistry’s mission is to prepare students in the art of science of dentistry in an academic setting that fosters excellence in education, research, and compassionate patient care. The college’s graduates should thus develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude that will enhance the health of the Saudi population and contribute to the advancement of dentistry, with special emphasis on improving dental, oral, and craniofacial health through comprehensive education, research, and service programs. Accordingly, the College of Dentistry clinics was designed and structured to achieve this mission requirements.

Treatment of patients is restricted to the assigned clinical sessions. There will be no treatment of patients during non-clinical hours or without faculty coverage. Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary measures as determined by the dental clinics policy and procedure.

Initial Patient Contact

At the first contact, all patients will receive patient’s brochure, which contain the policy of dental care at the KSAU-HS College of Dentistry and patients’ rights and responsibilities.

Registration

Everyone will receive treatment of any type in the dental clinic or the College of Dentistry must be a registered patient. The registration process involves generating patient’s record number upon completion of personal information form, health and dental history form, and appropriate consent form.
