The College of Dentistry at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences has been established by virtue of a decree issued by the University Council in its first session of the academic year 2006/2007 held on 19/12/2006.

The College of Dentistry King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh has the following departments:

  • Maxillofacial Surgery and Diagnostic Science Department
  • Preventive Dental Science Department
  • Restorative Dental Science Department
  • Prosthetic Dental Science Department
  • Dental Auxiliary Department
  • Dental Education


The key of producing exceptional graduates is through the knowledge shared by our roster of faculty members who hold degrees and practice specialties. Our faculty teaches in the different area of the Dental practice and education. These areas include: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Microbiology and Oral Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Public Health, Advance General Dentistry, Community Dentistry, Endodontics, Orthodontics and Prosthodontics. Currently, we have members of the faculty who are working to obtain their advance professional qualification.

The members of our faculty, dedicated in inspiring future dental practitioners, have immersed themselves in trainings, seminars, conferences and lectures sponsored by the University as well as those conducted by renowned speakers and lecturers. The College of Dentistry is honored to have these talented individuals who will take part in honing the skills and talents of our students.

Support Staff

The staff of the College of Dentistry is committed in assisting the college in its Administrative and technical affairs. Our administrative staff is comprised of multicultural individuals aimed in providing administrative support for the College which includes the College of Dentistry management, professors, lecturers, teaching assistants and students. We also have support coming from our Information Technology which abet in systems aiding in e-lectures like the Mediasite and Blackboard among others, as well maintaining the avenue of information through College of Dentistry website. Currently, we have 20 members for the support staff which delivers functions on a daily basis.

The College of Dentistry supports these talented people by encouraging them to attend NGHA programs for self development.
